Closest thing we have to a carnival is the Gay and Lesbian Carnival thats held down in Sydney. Big big parade thats televised live with special guest celebrities. Its amazing how many straight people come out to whoop it up with the Gay Community. The streets are stacked 10-15 people deep!

Sounds like fun. We have a gay-parade here in Amsterdam, but that's just plain disgusting. People masturbating in the streets. There should be a law. Oh wait, THERE IS!

Dutch do every party exessive and over the top. Ugh.

Is Amsterdam really as bad as that?
I was watching this show on pay tv last night about sex and it showed Amsterdam with all these live sex shows and I thought to myself, "Damn, I wanna go see one!"...lol

When I was in Amsterdam (buying lollipops with pot in them) I went to see the district. It's pretty lame. All cramped, shabby, filthy (not in a "sex" way, but in a "urine" way), and much smaller than you'd expect. It's not worth the trip. Honestly. Besides, I almost felt embarrassed for those people in the windows.

Although they did have some interesting toys which made me think "that wouldn't fit inside ANYONE" but are apparently well-sold items. How weird.
